Nitric Oxide-Rich Beetroot and Spermidine Hummus

Nitric Oxide-Rich Beetroot Hummus with Spermidine | Oxford Healthspan

Add some color to your day with our vibrant Beetroot Hummus! Packed with nitric oxide-promoting beetroots (think increased blood flow), and enhanced with the longevity-boosting power of Primeadine spermidine (which also happens to boost nitric oxide production). This delicious side dish is a flavorful fusion of both health and taste.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (430 g/15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tsp Primeadine® Original powder / 2x Primeadine® Original capsules broken open
  • 2 medium cooked beetroots, quartered
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Zest and juice from 1 medium lemon
  • 2-3 tablespoons tahini
  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin

    Instructions:

    1. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, beetroots, and garlic. Process for about 1 minute until ground.
    2. Add lemon zest, lemon juice, tahini, olive oil, salt, and ground cumin into the food processor.
    3. Process until creamy, maintaining a slightly grainy texture.
    4. If the mixture is dry or needs adjustment, add more tahini or water until desired consistency is reached.
    5. Taste and adjust seasonings, adding more salt, cumin, olive oil, or lemon juice if necessary.
    6. Scrape the hummus into a serving bowl, top with sesame seeds and sumac, and enjoy!
