Orange & Cardamom Longevity Mocktail with Spermidine

Orange & Cardamom Longevity Mocktail with Spermidine

Not every act of self-care needs to be a morning ritual. Sometimes it is a Saturday evening, a glass that feels celebratory, and the quiet knowledge that what you are sipping is doing something good. This orange and cardamom mocktail is exactly that: sophisticated enough for a dinner party, simple enough for a Tuesday.

Fresh orange juice, warm cardamom and zingy ginger create a flavour profile that is at vibrant and refreshing. Topped with sparkling water and finished with a twist of orange peel, it looks as beautiful as it tastes. Woven through it all: one scoop of Primeadine GF, your daily cellular foundation. Because longevity should feel like a pleasure, not a prescription.

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz (180ml) freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 level scoop Primeadine GF powder
  • 5 cardamom pods
  • 3-4 thin slices of fresh ginger
  • Handful of ice
  • Sparkling water, to top
  • Orange peel and fresh ginger, to garnish

Serves: 2

Make it seasonal: swap standard oranges for blood oranges when available. The flavour deepens, the colour transforms, and the whole drink becomes something a little more decadent.

Method

Begin with your cardamom. Lightly crush the pods open with the back of a spoon and toast in a dry pan over a medium-low heat for two to three minutes, until the kitchen smells warmly, wonderfully fragrant. Do not rush this step: it is where the depth of the drink is built.

Add the orange juice, toasted cardamom pods, ginger slices and Primeadine GF powder to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 20 seconds to disperse the powder as evenly as possible through the juice.

Add a generous handful of ice and shake vigorously for another 10 seconds until well chilled.

Double strain into two chilled flute glasses, splitting evenly, and top with sparkling water to your liking.

To finish, twist a strip of orange peel over each glass to release the oils across the surface of the drink, then add to the rim as garnish. A thin slice of fresh ginger alongside completes the look.

Raise a glass and cheers, you have earned it!

Why we love it

Fresh orange juice is one of nature's finest sources of vitamin C, which plays a central role in immune function and collagen synthesis. It also brings natural folate and potassium to the glass, making it a genuinely nourishing base rather than just a vehicle for flavour.

Cardamom has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic and traditional medicine for its digestive and anti-inflammatory properties. Toasting the pods, as this recipe calls for, unlocks the volatile oils that make it aromatic.

Ginger is one of the most researched functional ingredients available, with well-documented support for digestion, circulation and its natural anti-inflammatory compounds, including gingerol.

Primeadine GF brings it all together. One scoop delivers 1.2mg of naturally occurring spermidine sourced from Okinawan chlorella, shikuwasa citrus lime peel and turmeric, alongside lutein, nobiletin and a full complement of vitamins and minerals. It disperses invisibly into the juice, adding little to the flavour but everything to the cellular picture.
