The Difference Between Primeadine Original and Primeadine GF

The Difference Between Primeadine Original and Primeadine GF

Customers frequently ask us about the difference between Primeadine Original and Primeadine GF, so we've broken down the key differences here to help you make an informed choice.

Primeadine Original: The Wheat Germ-Derived Option

  • Primeadine Original is a food-derived spermidine supplement made from concentrated, defatted wheat germ, sourced in Japan.
  • The spermidine is naturally derived from wheat germ, one of the richest known food sources of spermidine. We defat our wheat germ to remove polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), which can become unstable over time.
  • Contains 1mg of spermidine per dose. Serving size is 3 capsules a day.
  • Also contains the naturally co-occurring polyamines spermine and putrescine, support your body's own spermidine production.
  •  Contains a small amount of gluten (40mg - roughly equivalent to a breadcrumb).

Of the two products, customer feedback suggests it tends to offer the best results for hair, skin, and nails.

Keep in mind: If you're sensitive to vegetable fibre, the prebiotic content may cause some bloating. Not suitable for those with coeliac disease, SIBO, leaky gut, or autoimmune conditions due to the gluten content. In these cases, we'd recommend Primeadine GF.

Primeadine GF: The Gluten-Free Chlorella-Based Alternative

  • Each serving provides 1.2mg of spermidine. Serving size is 2 tablets per day.
  • Contains the naturally co-occurring polyamine putrescine, a spermidine precursor.
  • Includes three compounds associated with autophagy support and anti-inflammatory properties: Chlorella, Okinawan Citrus Lime Peel (providing Nobiletin), and Turmeric.
  • Of the two products, customer feedback suggests it tends to offer the best results for sleep.

Gluten-free, making it suitable for those with coeliac disease, gluten sensitivities, digestive issues, and autoimmune conditions.

Keep in mind: Contains iron -  may not be suitable for those with haemochromatosis. Contains vitamin K2 - not suitable for those taking blood-thinning medications.

Choosing Between the Two

  1. Dietary restrictions (gluten-free vs. wheat-based)
  2. Nutritional needs (iron and B12 content in Primeadine GF)
  3. Any contraindications (vitamin K2 in Primeadine GF)
  4. Format preference - capsules, tablets, or powder
  5. Which benefits you're prioritising - GF tends to support sleep; Original for hair, skin, and nails

Both are food-derived formulations that help support autophagy - the body's natural cellular renewal process.

Ultimately, the choice between Primeadine Original and Primeadine GF comes down to your personal health needs and preferences. Both offer powerful autophagy-inducing benefits, so consider your individual circumstances when making your decision.
