The Green Ritual: Primeadine GF, Pandan, Coconut and Lime Smoothie

The green ritual: Priemadine GF, Pandan, Coconut and Lime Smoothie | Oxford Healthspan

A delicious green blend that nourishes from the inside out.

Some rituals deserve a little ceremony. This pandan, coconut and lime smoothie is one of them: a vibrant, fragrant blend that layers tropical depth with the cellular support of Primeadine GF.

Pandan, sometimes called the "vanilla of Asia," lends this smoothie its distinctive jade hue and a subtly sweet, grassy warmth. Paired with creamy coconut yoghurt, the brightness of fresh lime, and six level scoops of Primeadine GF, this is longevity in a glass.

Ingredients

For the smoothie:

  • 1 1/2 cups plenish coconut milk
  • 5 dehydrated pandan leaves
  • 2/3 cup vanilla coconut yoghurt
  • 1/2 lime, freshly squeezed
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 6 level scoops Primeadine GF
  • Handful of ice

For the coconut drizzle:

  • 3 tbsp full fat coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp vanilla coconut yoghurt
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp maple syrup

Serves 2

Method

  1. Begin by infusing. Over a medium heat, steep the pandan leaves in the coconut milk for 20 to 30 minutes. The longer you leave it, the more the fragrance deepens. Set aside to cool completely.
  2. While you wait, make your coconut drizzle. Stir together the full fat coconut milk, coconut yoghurt, vanilla extract and maple syrup until smooth. Tilt your serving glasses at a 45-degree angle and drizzle the mixture down the inner sides. Transfer to the freezer to set while you finish the smoothie.
  3. Add the pandan-infused coconut milk to your blender along with the coconut yoghurt, fresh lime juice, maple syrup, Primeadine GF and a generous handful of ice. Blend until silky smooth.

Pour into your chilled glasses and serve immediately.

Why we love it

Every ingredient in this smoothie earns its place.

Pandan is rich in antioxidants and has long been used in traditional Southeast Asian wellness practices for its calming properties. It also lends this smoothie its extraordinary colour (along with Primeadine GF).

Coconut in both its milk and yoghurt forms is a source of medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), which the body converts to energy efficiently. Coconut yoghurt also brings a gentle dose of live cultures to support gut health.

Lime is a natural source of vitamin C, which supports collagen synthesis and immune function, and adds the bright acidity that makes this smoothie sing.

Maple syrup, used here in modest amounts, provides a touch of natural sweetness alongside trace minerals including manganese and zinc.

Primeadine GF is our gluten-free spermidine powder, and the cellular heart of this recipe. Sourced entirely from Okinawa, Japan, it blends three whole-food ingredients: Okinawan chlorella (broken cell wall and iodine-free), shikuwasa citrus lime peel, and turmeric. Together they deliver 1.2mg of naturally occurring spermidine per serving, alongside lutein for eye and skin health, nobiletin from the shikuwasa peel, and a full spectrum of vitamins and minerals including Vitamin D2, Vitamin K, Folate, Vitamin B12, Biotin, and Iron.

Spermidine is the key that unlocks autophagy, your body's natural process of cellular renewal. Think of it as a deep cleanse at the cellular level, clearing away what no longer serves you to make way for what does.
