Daily Movement

Find an exercise you enjoy and stick to it! Consistency is far more important than the type of exercise you do.

One of the reasons Okinawans (residents of the Blue Zone in Okinawa, Japan) are so physically fit is that they get up from a seated position on the floor roughly 100 times a day. This small movement has a significant impact on their musculoskeletal and cardiovascular health.

As well as regular exercise, we recommend squeezing small movements like these into your daily routine - you could start doing plies while you brush your teeth, or sit on the floor while you put your shoes on and try to get up with no support.

Okinawans also walk frequently, with one Japanese study finding that even 7,000 steps a day increased longevity by 20%. 10,000 steps a day may not be achievable for everyone, but 7,000 is enough to make a measurable difference in your health.

Establish A Community

Regular socializing is important to reduce stress and boost endorphins. Even if that means joining a group exercise class or a book club, creating a social space for yourself outside of your family life is a vital component of healthspan and longevity.

Find Your “Ikigai”

Eat A Whole Foods Diet

As a food-derived supplement company, we must remind you that food is medicine and a supplement is not a replacement for a healthy, balanced diet.

No surprises here - the world’s centenarians eat a diet consisting of fresh, organic food and free from inflammatories like vegetable oils, refined sugar, and processed foods.

Check Your Ingredients

Inflammatory triggers are not just in our food, but also our supplements, skincare, and household products. 

Always take a look at the ingredients list (you can use EWG to check their rating based on toxicity) before purchasing as you might be surprised what seemingly "clean" products actually contain.

For example, 'magnesium stearate' - one of the most common fillers used in supplements to bulk out the capsules - might look innocent, since magnesium is an essential nutrient, but it is actually very bad for your health. It has been found to affect nutrient absorption, is typically contaminated with pesticides, and can have a laxative effect.

How do we ensure Primeadine is clean?

Our wholly food-derived ingredients are sourced in Japan, which has the strictest food safety protocol in the world. We then conduct rigorous third party testing in Japan and the USA to ensure the raw ingredients in Primeadine are free from pesticides, herbicides, GMOs, mold, and heavy metals. Hydrate!

Our bodies are made up of roughly 60% water, so we need to keep topping up our supplies by drinking 2-3L of fresh, filtered water daily! This keeps your skin plump and soft and your joints agile.

Optimize Your Sleep

In addition, our efforts are in vain without good sleep, as this is when autophagy - the body's cellular "clean up" and recycling process - takes place for an extended period of time. Here are some tips to optimize your sleep environment:

Your bedroom should be a sanctuary for sleep! To ensure you get enough restorative sleep and Primeadine is able to work its magic, try optimizing your bedroom with these tips:

  • Keep it cool: Aim for a room temperature between 60-67°F (15-19°C).
  • Darken the room: Use blackout curtains or an eye mask to block out light.
  • Reduce noise: Consider earplugs or a white noise machine to drown out disruptive sounds.
  • Choose comfortable bedding: Invest in a good mattress and pillows that support your preferred sleep position.
  • Get in sync with sunlight: Ensure you get daylight exposure in the morning, so your body knows it is the morning.
  • Block out blue light: So your body knows it is the evening, avoid screens at least an hour before bedtime, enable night mode on your devices and/or use blue light-blocking glasses.
  • Watch your caffeine intake: Don't drink caffeine past 5pm and try to limit your intake to 1-2 cups of a caffeinated beverage per day.

        Best Ways to Take Primeadine ®

        Find the Right Dose for You

        If you have tried Primeadine® for a considerable amount of time (say six months) and aren't sure if it's working for you, consider increasing your daily dose. There are no FDA guidelines regarding spermidine consumption, but, the European Food Safety Agency has stated that dosages of up to 6mg of wheatgerm-derived spermidine are considered safe in humans.

        Eat More Spermidine!

        Try to also incorporate more spermidine-rich foods into your diet. This includes foods like shiitake mushrooms, chicken liver, the long fermented soybean dish, natto (if you can stomach it!), green peas, and aged cheeses like mature cheddar and parmasean.

        When to Take it 

        The best times to take Primeadine® are with your first or last meal of the day to either kickstart or extend the autophagy, the body's natural process of cellular renewal, that occurs during your overnight fast. If it's the sleep benefits you are after, we'd recommend taking it before bed.

        If you can tolerate Primeadine with food, you may experiment with taking it on an empty stomach just before bed, or first thing in the morning. However, please note that some people experience digestive discomfort when taking it on an empty stomach, due to the prebiotic content.

        Duration of Use

        Different Factors

        The length of time you should take Primeadine® depends on your age and health status. Younger, healthier individuals might pulse on and off, while older individuals or those with significant health depletions will need continuous use.

        Since we rely on external intake of spermidine as we get older, it’s important to maintain levels long-term through diet and/or supplements. Like vitamin C, our body doesn’t store spermidine from our diet, so we rely on a continuous supply.

        If you need to pause, a break of up to two weeks is generally okay, provided you maintain a diet rich in spermidine during that time. 

        Fast vs Slow Responders

        We recommend giving Primeadine at least six months to notice a difference. While some individuals, who we call "fast responders," might feel changes within the very first week, those with underlying inflammation or other health issues typically respond more slowly as their body uses the spermidine to address these factors first.

        Additional Tips
