Add some color to your day with our vibrant Beetroot Hummus! Packed with nitric oxide-promoting beetroots (think increased blood flow), and enhanced with the longevity-boosting power of Primeadine spermidine (which also happens to boost nitric oxide production). This delicious side dish is a flavorful fusion of both health and taste.
Ingredients:
- 1 can (430 g/15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 tsp Primeadine® Original powder / 2x Primeadine® Original capsules broken open
- 2 medium cooked beetroots, quartered
- 2 cloves garlic
- Zest and juice from 1 medium lemon
- 2-3 tablespoons tahini
- 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
Instructions:
- In a food processor, combine chickpeas, beetroots, and garlic. Process for about 1 minute until ground.
- Add lemon zest, lemon juice, tahini, olive oil, salt, and ground cumin into the food processor.
- Process until creamy, maintaining a slightly grainy texture.
- If the mixture is dry or needs adjustment, add more tahini or water until desired consistency is reached.
- Taste and adjust seasonings, adding more salt, cumin, olive oil, or lemon juice if necessary.
- Scrape the hummus into a serving bowl, top with sesame seeds and sumac, and enjoy!
